I am a self-learned artist who aspires to create art as a form of individual freedom and a release from the bonds of everyday worldly matters. We live in a complex time, and it is my belief that we as a whole overlook the essential need for simplicity in our lives. Hopefully, others can find a release in my escape and together we can share a universal moment, regardless of time’s passage between my release and your capture. I am a painterly painter who focuses on creating artworks that appeal to my innermost sense of wholeness. I make every effort through use of artistic license to display the spirit of things rather than trying to display an objectification such as the natural eye view when seen through a photographic lens. I indulge in my art studies like a child at play, having no thought other than the immediate moment of discovery. What happens when? Each study and piece of art is a piece of the puzzle that stimulates and shows my growth as an artist. My art is soft and transitional at times and other times it is vibrant and passionate while diving into the depths of drama and romance. It is a colourful journey, an open window to a place in time where the blatant everyday bombardment of shock images won’t be found. It is my special space where imagination is free from bondage, and all things are possible. I paint Ala Prima using quality professional materials.
